Hello,

This picture comes from a French book "100 reptiles en terrarium" by Patrick Perringaux, 1991.
The Ctenosaura is said to be a Palearis. I would like to confirme this data because I found the tail very different compared to others photos I have. The scales of the tail are poeminent. The shap is different from le "file" like shape of Palearis.
I was told that some population of Palearis are different looking according to region.

So is-it a Palearis? A sub-species? Or something else.

Hello,
I have bought a pair of this Ctenosaura, I still have a pair of palearis in a 150x70x100h cm vivarium, can somebody tell me if is better for this specie a terrarium 120x60x60h cm or one 100x60x100h ? Now they are stabulated in a terrarium smaller for quarantine.
Luc have you a link for the news you've found?
Thanks to everybody and excuse me for my english

Marco

i think if someone would really work on quinquecarianta we would have some new species at the end of this work. i have seen grey ones like your. really bright one with blue stripes and white bellys ( one of my males) and really dark, massiv one with small blue points if they are heated up, which seems to be the more common ones. so right now, i would say it´s quinquecarianta. cheers martin
